Eligible Productions

The Pennsylvania Film Tax Credit is available to a wide range of productions, including:

  • Feature films
  • Television films
  • Television series
  • Talk or game show series
  • Television commercials
  • Television pilots or episodic programming intended for a national audience

Production companies can apply for the tax credit up to 90 days before the start of principal photography.

 

Additional 5% Tax Credit for Qualified Production Facilities

Productions may qualify for an additional 5% tax credit when filming in an approved Qualified Production Facility.

Triode Studios is an approved Qualified Production Facility, allowing eligible productions to receive up to a 30% total tax credit on qualified film production expenses when filming in Pennsylvania.

How to Apply for the Pennsylvania Film Tax Credit
